Position Overview

As a member of our Network Delivery team, you will act in a consultative and hands on role to support our clients with their existing Cisco and Meraki networks including LAN/WAN and Security requirements. Working with other Engineers, you will be part of a team that builds strong relationships with customers, providing high level technical support and voicing product use cases based on customer needs.

This position affords you the opportunity to predominately work from home, but onsite travel in Washington DC Metro is required. To be successful in this role, you must be based within the region or willing to relocate.

What You Will Do – Responsibilities

  • Support and lead efforts of the design, testing, evaluation and implementation of new architectures and technologies
  • Architect, implement and support solutions using Business Continuity and Data Protection technologies
  • Assist with requirements gathering for proper design/installations
  • Work closely with OEM, break-fix and integration vendors during systems implementation and troubleshooting
  • Participate in meetings with customers, providing input on various initiatives
  • Collaborate with third-party support and service vendors to ensure systems stay operational (support during an outage)
  • Prepare client documentation including network designs, network assessments, implementation plans, and post-implementation documentation
  • Follow up with client, provide feedback and see problems through to resolution
  • Keep apprised of patches, latest technologies, and upcoming infrastructure installations
  • Research new technologies

Who You Are – Job Requirements

  • Extensive ASA firewall experience
  • Extensive Meraki experience
  • Extensive routing experience (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.) including configuration, redistribution and troubleshooting
  • Able to work with minimal direction

Additional Skills / Certifications

  • Active CCNP certification preferred (Security, Route/Switch)
  • Extensive Packet Capture experience – fluent with Wireshark a plus
  • Knowledge of Palo Alto and Fortinet networking products is a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft, EMC, Pure or VMWare is a plus

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Cloud Architect that can lead the design and development of modern cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure. You will be the lead of a team of DevSecOps Engineers, setting priorities and direction, mentoring, and designing next generation infrastructure. You will have a strong focus on automation and CI/CD principles, along with extensive experience and a deep understanding of the offerings within AWS and Azure with a strong emphasis on security. The ideal candidate will be able to design entire application environments that can be fully automated or replicated including network, compute, and data stores. This position is open to a senior-level to principal professional depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops tools and processes to enable automated deployment and monitoring of cloud infrastructure and applications.
  • Automates images, systems/network configuration and orchestration using tools such as Cloud Formation, Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, etc.
  • Designs and implements CI/CD pipelines to include application and security testing and allowing for development teams to own the pipeline process from end-to-end.
  • Implements, improves, and augments infrastructure, application and security monitoring tools and overall platform stability.
  • Automating data resiliency and replication based on policies.
  • Responsible for managing and operation of environments.
  • Mentors engineers and peers.
  • Participates in the creation of strategic roadmaps by understanding the needs of the business and mapping technical objectives to those needs.
  • Creates high level reference architecture documentation to meet the technology needs of various stakeholders.
  • Works autonomously to build customized solutions to meet the business needs.
  • Produces, enhances, and executes the deployment of automated tools to increase efficiencies across the organization.
  • Effectively communicates solutions architecture to management as well as to business stakeholders and the project teams.
  • Improves deployment and release management process.

Qualifications:

  • Significant experience designing, deploying, and supporting production cloud environments, particularly multi-region/multi-AZ environments.
  • Continuous monitoring and logging of all applications layers and all infrastructure (e.g. New Relic, Splunk, CloudWatch)
  • Continuous alerting and notification based on monitors and logs (e.g. PagerDuty)
  • Hands-on experience with container technologies including Docker
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes a plus, knowledge of Kubernetes required
  • Self-healing clusters using robust health-check services and cloud load balancers (e.g. ELB/ALB/ELB, ECS)
  • Horizontally scalable compute including autoscaling rules
  • Horizontally scalable databases including read replicas
  • Automated build, test, and deployment through modern CI/CD
  • Infrastructure-as-code via Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Configuration-as-code via Ansible
  • Security at rest and in transit via encryption
  • Security automation using tools like OWASP-ZAP
  • Advanced networking concepts and implementation in AWS and Azure
  • Bachelor’s degree in technological or related field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 5 years experience
  • Candidate must reside in the United States
  • Flexible and willing to accept a change in responsibility as necessary

  • Experience working in the healthcare industry
  • Federal Government contracting work experience
  • Prior experience working remotely full-time
